🌸 First Day of Spring at Kindred Acres

There’s something special about the first day of spring on the farm.
It doesn’t arrive loudly… it eases in gently, like a quiet promise kept.
The azaleas begin to bloom in soft bursts of pink and white, almost as if they’ve been waiting all winter for their moment. The pastures start turning that fresh shade of green, the kind that reminds you life is waking back up again. The air feels a little softer, the sun a little warmer, and everything seems to breathe a sigh of relief.
Here at Kindred Acres, spring is more than just a season—it’s a fresh beginning.
We’re watching and waiting for new calves to arrive, checking the fields each morning with anticipation. There’s something sacred about new life on the farm… a quiet reminder of God’s faithfulness and His perfect timing. It's especially exciting when we get to help a mama out and pull her calf to save both lives, and have four unexpected baby goats to boot!
The garden is calling too.
Seeds are being sorted, beds are being prepared, beginning to sprout with new growth, and hands are already in the dirt again. There’s hope planted in every row this time of year—hope for a good harvest, for nourishment, and for the simple joy of growing something from the ground up.
Spring always feels like a season of renewal, not just for the land, but for the heart.
Just like the fields, we go through seasons too. Times of waiting, pruning, and quiet growth. And then, without much warning, God brings the bloom.
If winter taught us anything, it’s that rest has a purpose. And if spring reminds us of anything, it’s that new life always comes.
We’re grateful for the changing season, for the beauty unfolding around us, and for the reminder that growth—both on the farm and in life—happens in its own perfect time.
Welcome, spring. We’ve been waiting for you.
